Lecture by Melody Randol – “Quilting Today: There’s Something For Everyone”.
Melody Randol shares her work and eclectic approach to quilt making. Starting with a Debbie Mumm pattern in 1997 and evolving to designer and creator of award winning art quilts, Melody has tried a little bit of everything including watercolor quilts, bold geometric designs, landscape originals, innovative surface design, and creating fabrics used in her work. Share her journey and inspiration as she shows, no matter your likes, style, or experience, quilting has something to offer everyone. See Melody’s web site at www.melodyquilts.com

Workshop – “Not so Exact: Working Abstract” by Melody Randol. Workshop will be held at the Masonic Lodge in Aztec, NM.
Working from your own images or photos, you will learn to capture the essence of your subject and work in a more spontaneous fashion. Consider landscape or nature subjects, still life scenes, cityscapes – any image that captivates you – and create an abstract interpretation of your subject.
