Tips for filling your information sheet for the quilt show: Please print when filling your sheet:
W is width of your quilt L is length of your quilt. Make sure you included measurements....it helps with hanging quilts. CATEGORY: Put the number of the category versus the name. 1. Bed quilt* 2. Wall 3.Miniature** 4. Children's 5. Celebrating the Holidays*** 6. Other 7. Throw**** 8. Quilt Show Theme***** 9. Challenge****** 10. Display Only******* QUILT NAME: Name you have given your quilt or the pattern name. MAKER: Who pieced the quilt. (Circle your name if you are the entrant.) OWNER: Who owns the quilt. (Circle your name if you are the entrant.) TECHNIQUES: Machine or hand pieced, machine or hand appliquéd, paper pieced etc. QUILTING METHOD/QUILTER: name of person that quilted the quilt, indicate if the quilter is a professional, name of professional. NAME AND SOURCE OF PATTERN--INSPIRATION--COMMENTS: Include designer, pattern name, who quilt was made for, why quilt was made of any other details you want to share. If you need more space attach securely the rest of your information to the form. THEME QUILTS: EVERY QUILT TELLS A STORY: Attach securely on a separate sheet of paper your story. 225 words of less. (If there are more than 225 words your story may need to be edited) You can email your story to Jill at mjjfischer@frontier.net and she can cut and paste it right into the database. Be sure to include enough information about the quilt so it can be matched up with the correct entry.
*Bed quilts: King, Queen, Double or Twin **Miniature: Maximum size 24"x24". Pieced blocks nor larger than 4"x4". Any miniature that is not pieced must be obviously reduced from a full-sized pattern. There is no minimum. (Published in May-June newsletter) ***Celebrating the Holidays: These quilts are for any holiday you celebrate or observe. ****Throw/Lap quilt: No larger than 60"x80". *****Theme: Every Quilt Tells a Story. Your quilt in this category must be accompanied with a story. ******Challenge: JAZZ IT UP Your quilt can not exceed 42"x42". Must use one or more embellishments, no maximum and consist of 3 layers--top, middle and back. (Published in May-June newsletter) *******Display only. Quilts displayed by children are in this category. Children must be family or friends of a guild member and taught by the guild member. If the child's quilt has won any awards or ribbons please attach securely to quilt.
